"What fantastic work! Your children are way ahead of ours in their English as opposed to our French! That doesn’t matter – we are still very keen and will send our work off to you at the end of this week"!

CM1 - CM2 Class Twinning

Great Rissington School under a thick blanket of snow

I have been working with the CM1/CM2 class since the end of November and I have to say that I take delight in working with Mr Fulpin and his students, amongst other classes.
The children are highly motivated and they show great understanding to how languages work, English in this case.

This week, I presented a school in the UK that's more than happy to correspond with the children and the children gave me a unanimous oui of approval so this is the school.

Great Rissington School is situated near to Oxford and has the reputation of being one of the best primary school's in the country ( le lien du site web de Great Rissington est en bas).
Each child will have his or her very own penpal and hopefully 4 times during each term they will be able to exchange letters, emails, projects and even (fingers crossed) set up a video conference between the two classes.

Yesterday, the children began their letters (some were finished) and next week, I'll scan their letters and send them via email. The school in the UK will be emailing short introductory letters to France (hopefully) next week.

You can take a look at the school here.

I'll post a couple of the letters on the blog, once they're scanned.
